Wisconsin is a land of boundless natural beauty, and the state’s stunning scenes inspire artists of all sorts, from painters and sculptors to woodworkers and photographers. Art Fair on the Courthouse Lawn, Rhinelander
Head to the heart of Hodag Country in northern Wisconsin every June to enjoy this fun art & craft show held outside the iconic Oneida County Courthouse in downtown Rhinelander. (The courthouse, built in the early 1900s, features an eye-catching Tiffany glass dome.) The event features more than 100 artists’ booths, as well as kids’ activities, food vendors, and live entertainment.

Art Fair on the Square, Madison
One of the Midwest’s top art shows, Art Fair on the Square is held on the streets around the state Capitol building in Madison every July. For more than 60 years, artists from across Wisconsin, the Midwest, and the country have brought their impressive creations to the festival, which draws nearly 200,000 visitors every year.

Festival of Arts, Bayfield
Head to the scenic shores of Lake Superior in northwestern Wisconsin in September for this juried art festival, which is held at Memorial Park in downtown Bayfield. Artists show off an impressive array of works, from pottery and paintings to jewelry and glasswork.

Maple Fall Fest, Marshfield
This popular central Wisconsin event has run for more than 30 years and welcomes more than 150 arts & crafts vendors to Marshfield’s Wildwood Park for a weekend of fun. In addition to the unique works from local, regional, and state artisans and craftspeople, Maple Fall Fest boasts more than a dozen food vendors (including maple syrup and other maple-themed items), kids’ activities, and much more.

Colorama Arts & Crafts Fair, Boulder Junction
Vilas County in northern Wisconsin is a great place to take in fall color, and Boulder Junction’s long-running Colorama Arts & Crafts Fair is a great reason to plan a visit to the Northwoods during fall color season. The Colorama celebration is held at the Boulder Junction Community Center and includes arts & crafts vendors, live music, food, craft beer, and fun fall activities.

Prime Choice Craft Show, Minocqua
Held as part of annual Minocqua’s Beef-A-Rama™ celebration at the end of September, this Northwoods craft show at Torpy Park features more than 100 exhibitors, who set up rain or shine to sell a wide range of handcrafted items, including woodcrafts, paintings, photography, clothing, and more. Live music and concessions are also available onsite.
